Hi Paul and Phillip
Hope your Freelander experience is going well. I bought a 2007 Freelander 2 td4 SE last October . It has done a total of 170000 miles.
It is in very good condition inside and out .
Problems so far was the reduced performance warning coming on. Looked at forums for advice on this and found it was the turbo hose that had split. Replaced that and was ok for a while but then started to get the same warning. Changed the fuel filter and has been fine since. After 25 years or so of company cars, it has been quite good to get the socket set out again. Also changed the auxiliary belt tensioner as that was making a knocking sound on tick over.

Hi Tai, yes shes just passed her MOT after being stood for over a month or so. Yep on reflection a pair of Brembo vented and some Brembo pads from muddy mods will do it. Thank you for replying. Lift kit and some nice wheels and tyres before next winter on the cards.

If you try performance ebc brake pads with new slotted vented rotors(not drilled) then you will gain some braking performance but nothing massive, it’s pads and removal of weight (e.g. lightweight wheels) that will help you the most?

Hello folks, I have a question about upgrading the brakes on a Freelander td4 sport. I am guessing its doable, I have looked online etc but yet to find anyone that has done it and made it known to the public. I may just be looking in the wrong place. I had the discs and pads changed over less than a year ago to brand new but they just don’t seem to be up to the job really. She will be getting a MAP for economy soon, She’s had all engine mods done that help her run better and are helping to run at her best. I need to do something For peace of mind. Any garages or mechanics that give it a crack please let me know. Mega Grateful guys, thank you .

Hi All,
New to the freelander scene. Picking up a 2010 HSE this week. All new to me as have spent the last 8yrs owning a Vectra Z19DTH.
I may have a few questions while I get used to the car but apologise now if some appear a little silly.

Hi everybody, I have recently bought a 52 plate Kalahari spec 5 door Freelander in Tangiers orange. From internet search’s, I understand that they produced a limited run in this colour and Borrego yellow (max 200) with the Tangiers colour selling out first, deciding the colour of the G4 challenge vehicles. So my question is, can anybody confirm this and if it is correct does anybody know how many are left. Interestingly a friend owns a Borrego yellow 3 door.
