Hello forum,
Had the Freelander 2 10 year service and when I got it back they told me that they believe the rear crankshaft seal had gone? Price to fix £900 due to having to take gearbox and clutch off. When I got it home I took off the bottom cover and checked for oil leak, but could not see anything leaking! But have brought an oil leak repair liquid which seems to be holding? Has anybody else had this problem and how did you deal with it?
Thank you
Paul

I have recently purchased a 2010 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE.
I have paired mobile phone with car via the radio controls, but I cannot see access to phone on the much larger touch screen which only seems to display the Sat Nav.
Is this possible and if so, how to I navigate to the screen showing Audio/video, nav and phone buttons as shown in the manual?

Thanks all!

I serviced my FL2 (SD4 HSE 2011) recently. It had REP indication and limp mode set, code P006a. Over the next 3 months, 4 garage visits, 2 Sensors, 2 actuators and an intercooler guess what!! on next caravan holiday REP set again. I limped to the nearest layby to reset it. I now keep my OBD 11 monitor installed permanently. They and I have no idea where to go next. Could it be carbon on turbo vanes?

I have a Freelander TD4 HSE 2004 model and I’m experiencing a brake light problem where only the top light above the spare wheel activates, I’m led to believe this is a common Freelander problem
I’ve checked the bulbs OK, but from the wireing diagram page 12.65 of the Haynes workshop manual the L & R lights are connected to the top light cable run somewhere, but where is this connection, can anyone give me a clue.
